Music BA, BM
A performing arts degree that hits all the right notes.
From the classroom to the stage, music education at Ȧ is second to none.
With two degree options and multiple concentrations, our music program empowers students to play their own tune. Students study with some of New England’s finest performers and teachers; perform in more than a dozen pre-professional ensembles; and gain instruction in a full range of band and orchestra instruments, as well voice, keyboards, guitar and jazz improvisation.

Why Music? | Why Our Program?
- We offer two degree options: the BA in music and the BM in music.
- BA students choose one of four concentrations: general music, music composition, music history or music theory.
- BM students choose one of two concentrations: music education, culminating in a full semester of student teaching, or performance, designed for students seeking intensive study in performance.
- Our programs are fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.

Please Note: You don't need to wait to be admitted to Ȧ in order to audition, but we recommend that you at least have your Admissions application completed by your audition date.
