David Espinosa, Assistant Professor of History, received his Ph.D. in Latin American History from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1997. He has taught at ΞΆΓάΘ¦ since 1997.

He teaches a variety of history courses, including Modern Latin American history, Colonial Latin American history, Amerindians in Latin American history, Western Civilization, and History 200 (Historical Methods). He also teaches in the General Education Honors Program.

Prof. Espinosa's scholarship focuses on higher education and Church-State relations in modern Mexico. His article "Restoring Christian Social Order": The Mexican Catholic Youth Association (1913-1932)" was published in April 2003 by The Americas. His is currently working on a manuscript entitled "Jesuit Higher Education in Post-Revolutionary Mexico."
