Medical Assistant Training
Training in clinical, clerical and administrative skills including HIPPA, first aid, CPR, reception, scheduling, medical terminology, charting, testing and basic pharmacology. A 20-week program: 15 weeks of classwork followed by a minimum 120 hour internship completed over 5-6 weeks. Ideal for unemployed, underemployed, and dislocated workers as well as students who are motivated to learn new skills and secure employment.

- Eligibility Requirements: applicants 18 years or older, who have a high school diploma or equivalent, and can provide a RI BCI Background Check

Specialized program for ESOL speakers which combines ESOL support and additional English language instruction as well as training in clinical, clerical and administrative skills including HIPPA, first aid, CPR, reception, scheduling, medical terminology, charting, testing and basic pharmacology. 720 training hours (30hrs/week for 24 weeks) and 120 hour minimum internship. Ideal for unemployed, underemployed, and dislocated workers as well as students who are motivated to learn new skills and secure employment.

- Eligibility Requirements: applicants 18 years or older with advanced ESOL skills, who have a high school diploma or equivalent

Public health sign language course that includes healthcare system knowledge and linguistic competency, integrates consumer-focused care as part of public healthcare teams, understanding of the intersection of justice, equity and social determinates of health and recognizes and addresses barriers to quality healthcare while applying evidence-based practices and ethical decision making. 9 months, 120 hours, week-long residency

Working with and Supporting Older Adults for Direct Service Workers Training
