Why Technology Education? | Why Our Program?
- Program provides rigorous education background for the highest level of teacher preparation.
- Students also take 10 technical classes and engage in a capstone design project.
- Choose from two concentrations: teaching and applied technology. Graduates of teaching concentration will be eligible for full certification to teach technology in grades K-12 in RI.
- Topics covered in the include: Teaching and learning; educational psychology; special education practices; computer-aided design; manufacturing systems; communication systems.
Technology Education students work with cutting edge tools and processes, including CNC milling, 3D printing, laser cutting and etching, robotics and a precision measurement arm, and design software.
