Questions about COVID-19?

This page will be updated periodically with questions and answers about the COVID-19 pandemic and in relation to ΢ÃÜȦ.

Vaccine Requirement and Proof

The COVID-19 vaccine is strongly recommended for all students. Students must upload their vaccination card into the Medicat® Patient Portal. (Students can access the portal through .) The Medicat icon will allow you to sign in using your My΢ÃÜȦ username (ex: jdoe_9458) and My΢ÃÜȦ password.

If you are having issues logging into Medicat, you can call the Help Desk at 401-456-8803 or email a copy of your COVID vaccine card to healthservices@ric.edu. Additional information on exemptions can be found in forms in the Medicat portal.

To show proof of vaccination, students must upload their vaccination card into the MediCat portal on .

Students who live out of state are eligible to receive the vaccine at any clinics hosted by ΢ÃÜȦ.

΢ÃÜȦ strongly recommends that students and non-classified employees be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. However, medical and religious exemptions are no longer required. 

Mask and isolate as much as possible until you have spoken to a nurse. 

Contact the Center for Health and Wellness and speak to a nurse and an a testing appointment will be made for you. You should also self-report using the .

Please Note: Do not ask for testing at Sweet Hall if you have any symptoms. Call the center for health and wellness at 456-8055 (Option #5).

Home COVID tests are for personal use only and should not be uploaded to the Medicat portal on . They are not intended for screening and surveillance on campus. Only tests from testing sites or health care providers are acceptable.
