Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAc)

The Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAc) program provides advanced study in the field of financial planning. You will gain knowledge in all aspects of financial planning, including:

  • income tax and estate planning
  • retirement planning
  • investment allocation
  • risk management

You will also learn how to conduct research on tax planning issues and become skilled in preparing comprehensive personal financial plans for individuals.

Expected Outcomes

Certified Financial Planner (CFP)

Successful completion of this program prepares you to sit for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) exam.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

For some students, completing 30 credit hours and an undergraduate degree will satisfy the state of Rhode Island's 150-hour educational requirement to obtain certification as a certified public accountant (CPA) – the gold standard in the accounting profession.
