News Brief: Record-Breaking Attendance for Accepted Students Day

More than 500 students and their families contributed to a 25 percent increase in attendance over last year's event.

A record crowd gathered in the Murray Center on Saturday, April 6 for Accepted Students Day 2024. The college's signature spring yield event, designed to introduce accepted students to the college community and solidify their commitment to ΢Ȧ, was attended by 506 students who have been admitted for Fall 2024, nearly 100 more than last year, representing a 25 percent year-over-year increase.  The families who accompanied them brought the total attendance to nearly 1,500 people. 

Accepted Students Day is designed to illustrate ΢Ȧ’s student-centered approach. Seven current students shared their diverse reasons for choosing and staying at ΢Ȧ, as well as what they love most about the experience. The event is a showcase for the high quality academic, athletic, artistic, and extracurricular programs; top-notch facilities; and the community’s genuine hospitality, professionalism, and ΢Ȧ pride.

One family of attendees commented, "We’ve already been to two other Rhode Island institutions' accepted students day programs, and ΢Ȧ’s is by far is the best!”
