Rhode Island Higher Education Training Consortium (RIHETC)
The Rhode Island Higher Education Training Consortium (RIHETC) has announced their Fall 2024 Professional Development Workshop Schedule. As a participating member institution, RIHETC Workshops are available to all ΞΆΓάΘ¦ employees.​ Please note that approval must be received from your department supervisor prior to registering. The registration fee for each workshop is payable by the requesting department and the invoice will be forwarded to the department for payment following each workshop.
State of Rhode Island Development Academies
The Department of Administration has launched the Rhode Island Learning and Development Office. The mission of this new office is to create a culture of continual learning and improvement to promote professional development opportunities for State employees that enhance capacity, maximize efficiency and to support organizational goals.
The Learning and Development Office established Academies, which are programs of study or training in a special area such as management, leadership development, customer service or communications. These programs are specifically designed as a planned sequence of instruction with clear learning outcomes and opportunities for classroom participation. Each Academy has a designated target audience, learning objectives and course curriculum.
State of Rhode Island Office of Learning and Development
is the state’s Learning Management System (LMS), providing State employees a resource to access valuable learning and development opportunities to foster professional growth across diverse subject areas.
This platform will serve as a resource to further your professional development and include features, such as online course registration, online courses, certificate programs, evaluations/tests, curricula development and more.
Training topics include the Microsoft Office suite of programs, implicit bias, HIPAA privacy and security awareness, collaborative customer services, professional writing and email etiquette, and more.
